The Redskins are not in the ideal situation right now.
After the team was basically forced by sponsors, fans and media to drop the team name due to racially insensitive undertones, a damning report was released that accused the organization of numerous incidents of sexual harassment to 15 women. Now, a former Redskins player is putting his ex-coach on blast for his unprofessionalism and exposing the organization’s toxic culture.
D.J. Swearinger of the New Orleans Saints played for Washington from 2017-2018 under former head coach Jay Gruden. On Friday, the safety posted a screenshot of a text message conversion he received from his coach after a postgame press conference following a 40-16 blowout loss to the Giants, where Gruden appeared to want to challenge his player to a fight.
