BREAKING: Joey Bosa & Chargers Agree To A Historic Contract Extension

The Los Angeles Chargers have locked up one of the best defensive players in the NFL.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Bosa and the Chargers have agreed to a massive 5-year contract extension worth $135 million with $102 guaranteed:

Chargers and DE Joey Bosa reached agreement on a 5-year, $135 million extension that ties him to LA the next six years, league sources tell ESPN. He had $78M fully guaranteed at signing and $102M guaranteed – a new NFL defensive record.

Bosa was scheduled to make $14.36 million this season in the final year of his rookie contract.

The third overall pick of the 2016 draft made 40 sacks his first four seasons.
