Trump Says He Hopes The NFL Season Gets Cancelled Due To Anthem Kneelers

President Donald Trump appeared on a FOX Sports Radio interview with Clay Travis Tuesday morning and talked about a slew of topics ranging from politics to sports, and the intersection of such.

After ripping the NBA and saying their ratings have plummeted due to the vast majority of players kneeling during the anthem in the wake of the racial oppression and police brutality conversation that has swept the United States in recent months, Trump praised the NHL for their players standing.

Trump also took time to once again rip the NFL, saying that the league may want to have a 2020 season despite the fallout of the Coronavirus outbreak, but if the players kneel, he hopes the league doesn’t open.

The news comes a day after Trump tweeted his support of having a college football season after conferences began cancelling their football for the year.

Differing from college football, numerous NFL players have been outspoken that both themselves, and their teammates, will kneel before games this year if a season is had due to the murder of George Floyd and the events that followed.
