REPORT: ESPN Tried To Hire Sean McVay For ‘Monday Night Football’ Job

ESPN was really desperate to find someone to take take their Monday Night Football job.

According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, ESPN approached Rams head coach Sean McVay about taking an analyst job for Monday Night Football and according to Marchand, the Worldwide Leader in Sports believes McVay would be a “standout” in that role.

McVay declined the job and is preparing for his fourth season as the head coach of the Los Angeles Rams. Meanwhile, ESPN is still searching to fill the void left by current Las Vegas Raiders coach Jon Gruden, who left the network in 2018 to return to coaching.
