BREAKING: Chicago Bears Name Mitch Trubisky Starting QB Over Nick Foles

The Bears kick off the season in Detroit against the Lions, and despite signing Nick Foles this offseason, they’ll be doing so with Nick Foles under center.

Trubisky is to be named staring QB of the team, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Bears infamously traded up to the second overall pick, passing on Patrick Mahomes and DeShaun Watson to grab Trubisky in the 2017 Draft, who showed few signs of stadium at the position coming out of at UNC.

Much has been the same in the first three years in the NFL, but perhaps the third year could be the long-awaited break-out season.
