Seattle Seahawks Waive LB Shaquem Griffin

One of the most inspirational stories in the history of the NFL, if not all of sports, will have a new chapter written this season.

As part of their roster cuts to get down to 53 players before the 2020 season kicks off, the Seahawks have waived LB Shaquem Griffin.

Griffin, who was a star pass rusher in college at UCF, was drafted by the Seahawks and appeared in numerous games during his rookie season despite only having one hand.

The Seahawks are waiving DE/LB Shaquem Griffin, per source. A 2018 fifth-round pick, Shaquem seemed to have found a home as a pass-rusher/strongside LB, but now he’ll be available on waivers.

An aside: His twin bro Shaquill is in a contract year.
