One of the most shocking cuts this past weekend was the Washington Football Team’s decision to move on from Adrian Peterson. The team released Peterson on Saturday as they were cutting their roster down to 53.
It didn’t take long for Peterson to find another home as the 35-year old is headed back to the NFC North and has signed a 1-year deal with the Detroit Lions.
Despite being on the wrong side of 30, Peterson is still a solid running back, rushing for roughly 900 yards and five touchdowns last season with Washington.
Peterson, a soon-to-be first ballot Hall of Fame’r is ranked fifth on the all-time rushing list with 14,216 yards.
