Madden Adds Colin Kaepernick Back Into Video Game For First Time Since 2016

Colin Kaepernick won’t be on an NFL roster when the season kicks off in two days, but he will be in an NFL video game.

The infamous quarterback who has been out of the league since 2016 on the back of his protests during the National Anthem has been added in Madden 21 as a free agent, his first appearance in the franchise since he opted out of his contract with the 49ers in 2016.

Kaepernick is listed as the top free-agent QB available with an overall rating of 81, making him the 15th best quarterback out of the 111 QBs included in the game.
