Tom Brady is set to make his highly anticipated debut with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday when he faces off against the Saints in New Orleans.
But things could’ve been different about this game if Drew Brees had retired this past offseason. According to Ian Rapoport, Tom Brady made it clear to various Saints players that he would be interested in signing with them if Brees retired:
Brady landing in New Orleans would have been a fascinating situation as he’d not only pair himself with two fo the best offensive players in the league in wide receiver Michael Thomas and running back Alvin Kamara but he would be coached by offensive guru Sean Payton.
In addition to New Orleans, the Chicago Bears were also another option Brady considered.
