During the Cowboys-Seahawks shoutout in Seattle in Week 3, Cowboys defensive tackle Trysten Hill was seen on video twisting Seahawks running back Chris Carson’s knee after a tackle, injuring the Seahawks running back.
Here’s the clip:
The play prompted outrage from a number of Seahawks players including Jamal Adams and head coach Pete Carroll:
Many thought Hill would face severe punishment for the dirty play, instead the league fined him just $6,522 dollars for the “unnecessary roughness.”
In addition, Hill was also fined another $6,522 for the hit on Russell Wilson.
Um.. player safety?
