Eagles Name Jalen Hurts Starting QB

The Eagles astonishingly selected Jalen Hurts in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and who would have thought before the 2020 season ended, Hurts would be their starter.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson made the call Tuesday, saying that the rookie will start his first game Sunday against the Saints, with Carson Wentz being the backup.

With Wentz struggling this season, Hurts has been being sprinkled in ever so more frequently by Pederson, who left him in for the majority of the second half of Philly’s game against the Packers on Sunday. Hurts played relatively well, with a few passes that left fans in Philadelphia calling for him to be named the starter.

Their wishes have been granted.
