New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss the team’s Week 17 game against the Carolina Panthers. What makes matters worse for the Saints is Kamara’s status for a potential Wild Card game next weekend is in uncertain, as well.
After receiving an inconclusive result, Kamara had a positive test confirmed on Friday afternoon and the team placed him on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
According to the NFL’s COVID-19 protocols, a player who tests positive is not permitted to return until 10 days have passed since the specimen that tested positive was collected.
