This is perhaps the least shocking news ever out of the Texans.
Similar to say the Detroit Lions, the Houston Texans franchise is slowly moving towards being known as a franchise of wasted potential, and it’s stemming from their decision making up top. This could be another blunder.
In search of a new GM after the firing of Bill O’Brien, the Texans hired a search firm to give them recommendations on the best fit, paying the firm hundreds of thousands to do so.
They then proceeded to completely ignore their choice.
Not only did the team go in the opposite direction of the firm’s recommendation, they upset their franchise player in Deshaun Watson at the same time, going against his recommendation as well and not even notifying their QB of their choice.
