David Carr Awkwardly Suggests Raiders Should Trade For QB Russell Wilson

Well, this is awkward.

NFL Network’s David Carr, who’s the older brother of current Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr published an article for NFL.com where he stated that he believed the Las Vegas Raiders should make a push for Russell Wilson, who may or may not be on the trade block.

Pro Football Talk noted that Carr made a revision to the article after it gained traction:

The original version said this: “If I’m one of those four teams, I’m picking up the phone yesterday.” The new version says this: “If I’m a QB-needy team, I’m picking up the phone yesterday.”

Carr finished 2020 with career highs for passing yards (4,103), yards per attempt (7.94), passer rating (101.4) and QBR (71.0). In the end, it did not matter as the Raiders missed the postseason.
