Jameis Winston was only teammates with Drew Brees for one season, but it was more than enough fro the future hall of fame quarterback to leave an impact on him.
Among those who’s ent Brees a touching message after announcing his retirement earlier this month was New Orleans Saints quarterback Jameis Winston, who had to fight back tears talking about his former teammate and mentor:
Winston, who recently signed another one-year deal with the Saints, completed 7 of 11 passes for 75 yards during the 2020 regular season for the Saints, and he threw a 56-yard touchdown pass in the team’s playoff loss to Tampa Bay.
