The San Francisco 49ers shocked the NFL world last month when they pulled off a blockbuster Draft trade with the Miami Dolphins moving all the way No. 12 to No. 3 overall.
The move signaled that the team was eyeing one of the top quarterback’s in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft. It also signaled the end of Jimmy Garoppolo’s time with the team and while early on, 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan indicated that Jimmy G would remain the team’s starter, that tone has changed.
