REPORT: Aaron Rodgers Wants The Packers To Fire G.M. Brian Gutekunst

We are beginning to get more clarity on exactly what Aaron Rodgers wants from the Green Bay Packers if they want him to stay committed to the organization and no longer want out.

According to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports reports that Rodgers won’t return to the Packers as long as Brian Gutekunst serves as the team’s General Manager. Rodgers is willing to consider “hardline options” to get what he wants, from skipping the entire offseason to holding out of training camp, to even possibly retiring.

Robinson’s source says that “the ball is in Mark’s court,” referring to Packers president/CEO Mark Murphy.

The gripe with Gutekunst surrounds the decision to trade up for Jordan Love in the first round of last year’s NFL Draft. This move was made with any communication with Rodgers, something the Packers GM admitted was a mistake.
