REPORT: Deshaun Watson Plans On Reporting To Texans Training Camp; Still Wants To Be Traded

When the Houston Texans open training camp on Sunday, their disgruntled quarterback Deshaun Watson will surprisingly be in attendance.

As Ian Rapoport mentioned, Watson desire to be traded remains unchanged. He still wants out of Houston but showing up absolves him for a $50,000 fine he would face each day he wasn’t there:

It’s been a wild off-season for Deshaun Watson as he’s also facing some serious allegations. Watson is facing 23 lawsuits alleging sexual assault and inappropriate behavior.

Since the lawsuits were filed, new head coach David Culley has largely avoided addressing Watson’s legal situation, other than referencing a letter sent by Texans ownership to season-ticket holders in April that said, “We want to assure you that we take these allegations very seriously.”

The Texans have three other quarterbacks on their roster: Tyrod Taylor, Davis Mills and Jeff Driskel.
