Aaron Rodgers appears to be running it back one final time.
The reining NFL MVP posted an Instagram story last week depicting Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, alluding to this perhaps being Rodgers’ version of Jordan and the Bulls’ ‘Last Dance’. Exactly that seems to be coming to fruition.
The Packers QB is reportedly returning to Green Bay for one final season on a deal that is ‘close to done’, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The deal would be structured without opportunities for any tags to be placed following the season and the 2023 year of his deal to be voided, setting Rodgers up for the ability to join a new team next season.
With Rodgers unhappy playing for the front office in Green Bay, and that front office clearly wanting Jordan Love to be the future of the Packers under center, the situation seems like a win-win for both parties involved.
