REPORT: Bruce Arians Says Buccaneers Have Reached Out To Free Agent CB Richard Sherman

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are dealing with injuries at the cornerback position after placing starter Sean Murphy-Bunting on injured reserve this week due to an elbow injury and the team’s head coach Bruce Arians told reporters that the team is eyeing one veteran free agent.

Arians confirmed to reporters that the team has reached out to free agent cornerback Richard Sherman in hopes of signing him:

The Buccaneers aren’t the only team in contact with Sherman, in-fact, Sherman’s former team the 49ers have marinated contact with him as well. 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan called re-signing Sherman a possibility after Jason Verrett tore his ACL in Week 1.
