Things change fast in the NFL.
The news came out this morning that the New England Patriots were releasing All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore but it now seems like the Patriots have found a trade partner.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network Gilmore is being traded to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for a 2023 6th round pick:
Gilmore, a resident of North Carolina gets the opportunity to go home and play for his home-town team. The Panthers have been a team searching for corner help after their star rookie Jaycee Horn went down with a foot injury. The team acquired former Jags CB C.J. Henderson last week.
