Deshaun Watson, who has a no-trade clause in his contract, is now willing to consider multiple options for a new team as the trade deadline looms, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
It’s been reported that a trade involving Watson is likely to happen as the Houston Texans are “motivated” to get a deal done before the Nov. 2 trade deadline.
Multiple teams are interested in Watson, and although his interest in joining the Dolphins is well-documented, it seems like Watson is keeping his options open.
One of the emerging options is the Carolina Panthers, who are in pursuit of a franchise quarterback after an ugly 25-3 loss to the New York Giants. The team also benched their starter – Sam Darnold during the game as well.
Whether or not Watson will be traded is yet to be determined but it seems like all parties involved are eager to get a deal done before the trade deadline, despite the uncertainty involving Watson’s legal trouble.
