This sucks.
As the Arizona Cardinals prepare for their biggest game of the season, they lose one fo their most important defensive players. J.J. Watt is set to undergo what is “likely” to be season-ending shoulder surgery, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Watt, who signed with the Cardinals this past offseason, injured his shoulder in the second quarter of Sunday’s win over the Texans, yet still managed to play the rest of the game with the injury.
The undefeated Cardinals, who sit in first place in the NFC, ruled Watt out against the Packers when the injury report was released earlier Wednesday.
