Panthers Player Accuses Mac Jones Of Of ‘Completely Dirty’ Football Play After Turnover

Mac Jones.. dirty player?

That’s what on Carolina Panthers’ defensive player said following the Patriots 24-6 vicotry over the Panthers on Sunday.

Just before the end of the first quarter, Jones was sacked on a 3rd-and-4 play by Carolina’s Brian Burns. The hit made the ball come loose and Carolina would go on to recover. During the scramble for the football, Jones could be seen grabbing and twisting Burns’ leg while on the ground.

Burns would leave the game later in the fourth quarter with a right ankle injury. After the game, Panthers linebacker Haason Reddick did not mince words on what he thought about that play.

“I thought it was completely dirty. Hopefully it’s something the league addresses,” Reddick said, via Joseph Person of The Athletic.

The CBS broadcasters referenced some past bad blood between Jones and Burns dating back to high school when Jones apparently didn’t like how Burns danced and celebrated a sack and has remembered that moment ever since.

Jones never forgets.
