REPORT: Odell Beckham Jr. Wants Join Contending Team, Will “Cause Issues For Any Non-Contending Team” Who Claims Him

Odell Beckham Jr.’s tenure in Cleveland is over and he’s made it clear, he wants to join a contender.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the NFL and NFLPA approved the restructured contract of Odell Beckham Jr. that will allow the star wider receiver to go on waivers Monday and be claimed by 4 p.m. ET the next day.

But Beckham does not want to join any team, he reportedly wants to spend the rest of the season with a playoff contender and if a team “that does not fit this criteria claims Beckham and the $7.25 million remaining on his contract, there could be potential issues for that team,” Schefter reports.

Beckham had just 17 catches for 232 yards and zero touchdowns in six games this season.
