Kurt Warner is coming to the big screen.
This week, Lionsgate dropped the new American Underdog trailer, which gives you a look at the life of Kurt Warner and what led him to the National Football League.
The movie stars Zachary Levi as Kurt Warner, Anna Paquin as Brenda Warner, and Dennis Quaid as Dick Vermeil. The story shows the inspirational saga of Warner going from a stockboy at a grocery store to a two-time NFL MVP, Super Bowl champion, and Hall of Fame quarterback.
American Underdog is directed by the Erwin Brothers.
The Kurt Warner movie is opening in theaters on Christmas Day, December 25, 2021.
Warner played 12 seasons in the NF for the Rams, Cardinals and Giants. He threw for 32,344 yards and 208 touchdowns. He was selected to play in 4 Pro Bowls. He won 2 MVP awards, the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award, 1 Super Bowl MVP award and 1 championship. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017.
