Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen posted a very disturbing video on his Instagram account that has many worried about his well-being.
In the video, Griffen is holding a gun in a dark room in his house while referring to that some people are out to “get” him. He also acknowledges that Vikings running back and teammate Dalvin Cook helped him purchase the gun legally:
Griffen also posted these disturbing text messages he sent to his agent where he mentions that someone is trying to kill him:
Whatever Griffin is going through, it appears he needs some help. A couple of years ago, Griffin’s admitted to struggling with mental health, when he allegedly tried to shoot a person at a hotel. That incident led him to be taken to the hospital to get his mental health evaluated.
The Minnesota Vikings released this statement regarding the matter, acknowledging that the Vikings representatives and team’s mental health professionals have been “on-site” at Griffen’s home:
