John Lynch “Accidentally” Likes Tweet Suggesting The 49ers Leave Jimmy Garoppolo In Nashville After Loss To Titans

Yikes.

Following the 49ers 20-17 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Thursday Night Football, 49ers GM John Lynch [accidentally] liked a tweet suggesting the team leave Jimmy Garoppolo in Nashville.

Lynch clarified his remarks, saying it was a mistake on his part, and the like was an accident.

“Never intended to [like the tweet] and remain a huge believer in Jimmy,” Lynch wrote:

That’s one way to create some chatter about the team’s polarizing quarterback. Garoppolo had been having a solid past couple of months. Of course, that stalled at Nissan Stadium on Thursday night. The starting quarterback completed 26-of-35 passes for 322 yards and a touchdown but threw two costly interceptions in the 20-17 defeat.

San Francisco remains in the NFC playoff picture and is currently in the sixth seed spot with two games remaining. Next week, the Niners will prepare to host the Houston Texans and then close out the regular season on the road against the Los Angeles Rams.
