Washington Football Team Releases Final Six Candidates For New Name, Gives Sneak Peak At Uniforms

There hasn’t been much going right for the Washington Football Team as of late, but hopefully their announcement next month will turn things in the right direction.

The team, formerly known as the Redskins has been using the generic nicknames of all nicknames for the past two years after dropping ‘Redskins’ due to public and investor pressure for its racial undertones.

Well, the wait may finally may over with the team announcing that they will unveil the new name and logo on Feb. 2nd next month.

The names have been narrowed to Armada, Presidents, Brigade, Redhawks, Commanders, and Defenders.

To gardener some excitement, the team dropped a promo video and even provided a sneak peak at the new uniforms.

If there’s any subtle hint in here it’s that in the armed forces, a commander is of a three star rank, perhaps lending itself to the three stars on the jersey.
