Mike Zimmer time in Minnesota has seemed to reach his final game.
Per multiple sources, Zimmer will be fired after the team’s Week 18 game against Chicago, after going 71-56-1 during his tenure coaching the Vikings.
Though a good win percentage, Zimmer’s failure to make the playoffs over recent years has outweighed any regular season success.
“Regardless of anything that goes on after the season, I can stand proud,” Zimmer said in a recent interview when asked about his future in Minnesota. “When I walk into a stadium like Lambeau (Field) or I walk into U.S. Bank Stadium and I say to myself, ‘A billion people would love to be sitting here right now and doing this job.'”
