REPORT: Brian Flores & Deshaun Watson Trying To Navigate Scenario Where They Go To Same Team

The Miami Dolphins provided easily the biggest shock of the NFL’s ‘black Monday’ when they fired third-year head coach Brian Flores, who by all regards had done quite the job in Miami, turning a dumpster fire of a team into a back-to-back playoff contender.

But, despite any efforts on the field, the off-the-field happenings is what catalyzed the decision to can Flores. Reports of Flores favoring other QBs over Tua, wanting more control of the team, and arguments with GM Chris Grier left the Dolphins with the decision to let one of them go, and it wasn’t going to be Tua and ended up not being Grier with owner Stephen Ross taking his GM’s side.

One of the QBs Flores preferred over Tua was that of Texans QB Deshaun Watson, who missed the 2021 season due to his widely publicized sexual harassment allegations. Watson stayed in the headlines primarily due to Miami, who at one point halfway through the season, had a deal done for the QB until it was broken off at the final hour.

With Flores gone from Miami and bound to land on his feet quite quickly, reports are saying that he and Watson want to team up for the next chapters of both their careers.
