REPORT: Houston Texans Not Backing Down From Asking Price For Deshaun Watson

The Houston Texans didn’t end up trading Deshaun Watson during the trade deadline, but despite his off the field issues, the team has zero interest in backing down on their asking price.

According to The Athletic’s Jeff Howe, the Texans want at least five assets, including three first-round picks, in any trade involving Watson. The Texans are still planning to keep their price for Watson high this offseason and according to Howe, the organization has “no plans to reduce those demands” when the offseason begins.

The Houston Texans, who parted ways with head coach David Culley after one season, interviewed Brian Flores earlier this week and despite Flores being the main catalyst for trying to get Watson to the Miami Dolphins, Texans GM Nick Caserio didn’t seem to think the team potentially hiring Flores would change Watson’s trade demand:

Should be an interesting offseason in Houston.
