There’s a strong belief that the New York Giants could be the team that signs free agent quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, according to a report from Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports:
Trubisky, who was a member of the Buffalo Bills last season would be reuniting with Brian Daboll, who was named the New York Giants head coach. Previously, Daboll was the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills.
Trubisky was the No. 3 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. After spending four seasons with the Chicago Bears, he signed a 1-year, $2.5 million deal with the Buffalo Bills backing up Josh Allen.
Going to the Giants would allow Trubisky the opportunity to compete with for the starting quarterback job while also having some familiarity having previous ties to the new Giants head coach.
