The Carolina Panthers will make an “aggressive” trade offer for Deshaun Watson if the Houston Texans quarterback is willing to waive his no-trade clause to join the Panthers.
The Panthers have been in the mix to trade for Watson as early as last offseason before reports surfaced of Watson being accused of sexual misconduct.
Watson’s trade market is expected to be robust after a grand jury in Houston voted Friday not to indict Watson on criminal charges, leaving only the 22 civil lawsuits with accusations of sexual assault and inappropriate conduct during massage sessions against the 26-year-old quarterback.
The Carolina Panthers aren’t the only team that has interest in Watson, the Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns are expected to have some level of interest in Watson.
Ultimately, Watson controls where he can and can’t go.
