Baker Mayfield Releases Statement After Browns Meet With Deshaun Watson

Baker Mayfield’s time in Cleveland may be coming to an end.

On Tuesday, it was reported that the Cleveland Browns met with Deshaun Watson and made a trade offer to the Houston Texans for the 25-year-old quarterback.

Cleveland Browns completed their meeting today (Tuesday) with quarterback Deshaun Watson in Houston, per a league source. Up next for the three-time Pro Bowl passer: a Wednesday meeting with the Atlanta Falcons. A Gainesville, Ga., native, Watson is a former Falcons ball boy.

After the report came out that the Browns had completed their meeting, Baker Mayfield took to Twitter to address his uncertain future:

Even if the Cleveland Browns don’t end up with Watson, the Browns have seemed to move on from Mayfield and are going to be looking for a new signal-caller.
