REPORT: Atlanta Falcons Looking To Trade For QB Deshaun Watson

We got a sleeper team on our hands.

Following Deshaun Watson being cleared of all criminal charges in his sexual assault/misconduct cases, the sweepstakes in on to land one of the most talented young QBs in football.

With the Dolphins, Colts and Steelers now eliminated as landing spots, it seemed to be narrowed down to the Panthers, Browns, and Saints and the most likely suitors for the Texans QB.

According to Adam Schefter, another team is now being thrown into the mix. The Atlanta Falcons are reportedly in on Watson, and have met, or are meeting with Houston in order to explore a trade.

The Falcons have emerged as a sleeper team to acquire Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, league sources tell @mortreport and me. The Falcons join the Panthers, Saints and Browns as teams that have met with, or are interested in, trading for Watson. More to come on ESPN.

The move comes as a surprise, considering the team seemed to agree to keep Matt Ryan at the helm in Atlanta when they drafted Kyle Pitts instead of drafting a QB last season.

Ryan is under contract through the 2023 season.
