It’s an end of an era in Atlanta.
The Falcons have traded Matt Ryan to the Indianapolis Colts for a third round-pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
The deal comes days after the Atlanta Falcons pursuit of Deshaun Watson came to an end after he decided to sign with the Cleveland Browns.
It was reported that Ryan would request a trade out of Atlanta.
Ryan, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft spent 13 seasons in Atlanta and will now join the Indianapolis Colts who have gone through a number of quarterbacks since the retirement of their former franchise quarterback, Andrew Luck. Earlier this offseason the Colts traded Carson Wentz to the Washington Commanders.
