69-year-old Bruce Arians is retiring as head coach of the Buccaneers and head coaching in general, shifting his focus to the front office in Tampa.
Arians will becoming the Senior Football Consultant while Todd Bowles will take over coaching duties for the Bucs.
Arians’ long coaching career comes to an end after beginning way back in 1975 when he started as a graduate assistant at Virginia Tech. Arians would move up the ranks, becoming head coach at Temple and eventually reaching the NFL, where he got hired by the Cardinals to be head coach after stints with the Steelers and Colts.
Bruce left Arizona for Tampa and won a Super Bowl in his second season there, his first season calling plays for Tom Brady.
