The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking for the heir-apparent to Ben Roethlisberger, who retired after 18 season as the team’s starting quarterback and Mike Tomlin has his eyes on of the top quarterback prospects in the 2022 NFL Draft.
According to Todd McShay of ESPN, Tomlin is ‘in love’ with Liberty quarterback Malik Willis and his admiration for Willis is so strong that the Steelers could trade up into the top 10 to select him:
The Steelers sent their entire front office and offensive coaching-staff to see Willis throw at his Pro Day in Lynchburg, Virginia. In addition to that, the team had also brought in Willis for a pre-draft visit.
The Steelers are currently slated to pick 20th in the 2022 NFL Draft and if they really want Malik Willis, they might have to make a move up to get him.
