The Green Bay Packers made two picks in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but neither of them was an offensive weapon for Aaron Rodgers, who saw the team trade Davante Adams this offseason to the Las Vegas Raiders.
Instead, the Packers took a pair of Georgia defenders with linebacker Quay Walker and defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt. If Green Bay is going to select a wide receiver, which they absolutely need to do, it’ll be in the mid-round of this draft.
Appearing on the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers admitted he wanted the Packers to get Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams, who Rodgers said was the most NFL-ready receiver in the draft.
The Packers still have a bunch of draft picks including three Day 2 picks (No. 53, 59 and 92) and there are still quality receivers available.
