REPORT: Browns Having ‘Internal Discussions’ About Bringing Back WR Odell Beckham Jr.

The Cleveland Browns released WR Odell Beckham Jr. last season after a serious of on-the-field issues with QB Baker Mayfield which ultimately led to Odell Beckham Sr. posting a highlight take of Mayfield missing throws to Beckham during games.

But now, with Baker’s relationship with the organization seemingly over after the team traded for QB Deshaun Watson, the team is open to the idea of bringing Beckham back.

According to OutKick’s Armando Salguero, the Browns have engaged in “internal discussions” about bringing the free-agent wide receiver back to Cleveland.

Although they acquired Amari Cooper from the Dallas Cowboys, the Browns could still use more receiving help after releasing Beckham’s friend and former teammate, Jarvis Landry. Some fans are exciting about the possibility of signing the 29-year-old for a second go-around.

In addition to the Browns considering bringing back Odell, the Saints, who recently signed Beckham’s best-friend, Jarvis Landry are also recruiting Beckham to bring him back home to Louisiana and the Rams have stated on multiple occasions that they want Beckham back.

Beckham is recovering a torn ACL that he suffered during the Super Bowl and he’s expected to miss a significant amount of the 2022-23 season.
