REPORT: Deshaun Watson Has Settled 20 Of 24 Sexual Misconduct Lawsuits

It looks like all of the legal drama surrounding Deshaun Watson could finally be coming to an end.

According to the lawyer for the plaintiffs in all 24 cases of sexual misconduct against the Cleveland Browns quarterback, 20 of those cases have now been settled between the opposing parties. The terms of the settlements have not been disclosed.

Tony Buzbee, the lawyer for the plaintiffs, released a statement on the matter, in which he said, “We are working through the paperwork related to those settlements.”

“Once we have done so, those particular cases will be dismissed,” he continued. “The terms and amounts of the settlements are confidential. We won’t comment further on the settlements or those cases.”

There are still four pending cases against Deshaun Watson. There’s no word yet on whether any of the remaining plaintiffs are close to agreeing on a settlement with the former Texans quarterback.

One of the women whose case has not been settled, Ashley Solis, was deemed a “hero” by Buzbee. The attorney went on to say that he is continuing to work with Ashley and “the other three brave women” as their cases remain ongoing.

Watson is still awaiting word on whether or not he’ll receive any punishment from the NFL, and exactly how long that punishment will be. NFL insider Ian Rapoport recently said on the Pat McAfee Show that he believes the Browns’ QB will receive anywhere from six to ten games for his actions.

Many have said they think it will be even more, with word circulating that the NFL could drop the hammer and suspend Watson for the entire season. We should find out the answer soon enough.
