Dak Prescott Needs Surgery On Hand After Injury, Will Miss ‘Several Weeks’

The Cowboys have kicked off their 2022 campaign is just about the worst way possible.

After an embarrassingly bad loss to the Buccaneers on their own turf, only managing a single field goal on the score board, fans in Dallas got even worse news, that their QB would miss several weeks to injury.

Dak Prescott suffered the injury during the 4th quarter when his follow through connected with the hands of Bucs’ pass-rusher Shaq Barrett, resulting in significant enough damage that will require surgery, per team owner Jerry Jones.

Cooper Rush filled in under center for the remainder of the game and will presumably move forward with the team as the starter unless Dallas makes a move to nab a veteran QB like Jimmy G to take over in the meantime.
