49ers Called For Safety After Jimmy Garoppolo Throws Pass From Out Of Bounds In End Zone

Dan Orlovsky is smiling at his TV somewhere…

In perhaps the most boneheaded play in NFL history, former Lions QB turned ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky ran out of the back of his own end zone for a safety in 2008.

Add Jimmy Garoppolo to the list of players who have done just that.

Funny enough, the safety resulted in the Pick-6 the Broncos ended up with being void and luckily the 49ers only gave up 2 points on the possession instead of 7.
