Bears DT Mike Pennel Ejected After Nailing Patriots C David Andrews With An Illegal Blindside Block During MNF Game

This is one of those hits that the NFL wants to seriously eliminate from the game.

During the 4th quarter of Monday’s Bears-Patriots game in Foxboro, Bears defensive tackle Mike Pennel was ejected after he laid out Patriots center David Andrews with a nasty blindside block.

The illegal hit occurred following a Roquan Smith interception of Pats QB Bailey Zappe:
