San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy is making his first career start on Sunday against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Purdy, who was the last pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, has stepped in for the injured Jimmy Garoppolo and so far, the 49ers haven’t lost a beat.
Purdy has thrown for over 100 yards and one touchdown as the 49ers are dismantling the Bucs, 21-0. It’s such an amazing story that it has Purdy’s dad, Shawn Purdy, in tears watching his son light it up:
