Dallas Cowboys star linebacker Micah Parsons added more fire to the Eagles-Cowboys rivalry when he took, what many are calling, a shot at Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Appearing on Von Miller’s show “The Voncast”, Parsons was discussing the NFL MVP race and suggested that Hurts may be a system quarterback rather than one that is so valuable to the team:
“Is it Hurts or the team?”, Parsons asked.
Both Parsons and Hurts are considered MVP candidates but because the voters are now just giving the award to a quarterback, Hurts, along with Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes have emerged as front-runners with Parsons considered a long shot at the moment.
Hurts is obviously well deserving, to a 12-1 record, completing 68.0 percent of pass attempts for 3,157 yards and 22 touchdowns against just three picks. Hurts has also been a force on the ground, recording 686 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. Entering Week 15, the Eagles have the most potent offense in football, averaging 29.7 points per game.
