It’s tradition in the NFL to make the rookies or a rookie pickup the team’s bill at a dinner during the season, and with that knowledge in mind, 49ers players decided to have a little fun with Drake Jackson.
The rookie DE was handed a $322,391 bill at the end of an upscale team dinner in San Fran, and after the rook realized that he was about to pay half of his annual salary after a few hours of damage, teammates gave him the real check, which was under $10k.
Luckily, Jackon’s tied for the league lead in sacks for rookies, so if he keeps his play up he may be able to pickup a $300k tab come his next contract.
