REPORT: Giants Players Were Stuck In Minnesota’s Mall Of America During Active Shooter

A scary situation unfolded for the New York Giants and many others yesterday at Mall of America in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, many Giants players were inside Mall of America at the time of Friday night’s deadly shooting and they are thankfully all safe and accounted for.

A teenager was killed during a shooting at the nation’s largest shopping center, which was put under a lockdown just before the holiday weekend, policeĀ told The Associated Press.

The Giants were staying at a hotel that was adjacent to the mall. Giants general manager Joe Schoen was also one in the mall and was getting position-by-position updates form team security until all players were confirmed to be okay.

“Everyone is back in the hotel and accounted for now,” team executive vice president of communication Pat Hanlon told the AP on Friday night.

The Giants are in town to play the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday.
