REPORT: 49-Year-Old Terrell Owens Has Been In Contact With Cowboys About Possible NFL Comeback

The Cowboys were looking to add a veteran WR to bolster their receiving core heading into the playoffs – I don’t think fans expected this.

Legendary NFL Hall of Fame WR Terrell Owens has reportedly reached out to the Cowboys about a possible NFL comeback at the age of 49 and has been in contact with team owner Jerry Jones.

So far, initial reports are that Jerry has said it isn’t happening, but as NFL Network reporter Jane Slater noted, “Never say never with Jerry.”

This isn’t the first time T.O. has attempted to make a return to the NFL, but has been forced to settle on the Fan Controlled Football League after nothing worked out.

Owens, who was and still is a freak of nature athlete, regularly posts videos of his workouts and drills to his Instagram page where you could mistake him for a 20-something year old WR in his prime.

If he were to make a return, he would be the oldest player in NFL history, passing George Blanda, who retired in 1976 at the age of 48.
